Select an object

Select with a click

In Photo, choose Click and use Add an object to start a new selection. Click well inside the subject, then check the highlighted area.

Add to mask expands the current selection. Exclude marks an area you want to leave out. Use Undo point to return to the previous step.

Describe your subject

Choose Describe and name the object with a short, concrete phrase: red chair, bottle or backpack. Add a colour or a visible feature when several subjects look alike.

Trace an outline

Choose Trace to draw around your subject. Place points along its silhouette and close the contour to validate it and create the mask. This is useful when you want to define a specific part yourself.
