Choose a good photo
Simple framing and lighting tips for a stronger starting point.
Show the shape
Frame the whole object with some space around it. A three-quarter view often shows both the front and the side, making its volume easier to understand.
Keep the details visible
Use soft, even light and a sharp image. If the object blends into the background, try a different angle or a simpler setting.
Photograph small parts
For a handle, accessory or detail attached to a larger object, a closer photo makes selection easier. Keep the part fully visible so you can trace or refine its outline.
